I just purchased a used GPS 45 on E-Bay. It was shipped from Florida to Virginia and now I can't get it to acquire and hold satellites. Please help if you can!

That's an oldie. Make sure it has a clear view of the sky, turn in on with fresh batteries and let it sit for 30 minutes.

Indeed it is an oldie! But it's still a good one. I had to do a "cold" reboot. First tried holding Down the PAGE key while powering on, so as not to lose saved data. Since that did not work, I held down the MARK key while powering on. That erased all my waypoints, routes, etc, and restored the factory settings. Then the unit Searched the sky and found satellites. After manually re-entering my waypoints and other data, I took a short cruise with the GPS 45 powered up. IT WORKED LIKE NEW!

Thanks for the reply.
