I have Garmin 60Cx. I have been using MapSource on an old Dell laptop, but my main computer is an iMac. I notice on the Garmin download page they have MapInstall and MapManager for the Mac. They have a PDF that explains the process (more or less), but I was wondering if anyone has experience with this software on a Mac? Any suggestions?

The map converter for the PC and MapInstall for the Mac have worked flawlessly. I've converted TOPO, MetroGuide and Roads and Rec. without a hitch. Now they can all reside on my HD and not need to change CDs to use them.

For the most part Bobcat has been working well. I've reported a few bugs during this beta phase but nothing that's turned me away. I really like the folders feature and the ease of importing all of your data into one "location" and manage it via folders.
Make sure to get MapManager, MapInstall, POI Loader and WebUpdater for the Mac too.
A little bit of a learning curve from MapSource but a nice change.
I'll still order future versions of MapSource (TOPO and City) for the PC instead of the new Mac versions. You can convert everything from PC to Mac but not the other way.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks very much! I hadn't realized that Garmin had any versions for the Mac yet. I'll probably order one this week. My dell laptop is 6 years old and the battery will not hold a charge - it only works plugged in, so I won't be buying any more PC versions of the maps.
