I'm trying to figure out what cable(s) I need to connect a garmin gecko 201 to a pc via USB port. From the Garmin website, it looks like the standard cable recommended for this model has a serial port. My laptop only has a usb port, so it looks like I'll need an adapter - either Garmin's very expensive adapter or a keyspan serial to usb. My laptop is a macbook but I can run it in windows mode. Anyone have any experience with this issue? Ideas or recommendations? Thanks in advance.
