Recently my Garmin Nuuvi 755 T has been giving me some real headaches. I either get no maps, or no satellite signals, one or the other. . .

Frequently will not display the maps; and even more frequently gives me the "acquiring satellites" message when I switch it on. BUT - when I switch the unit ON it is still showing me where I am located on the map, but does not update the position! How can it do this if it has no satellite signals?

The "acquiring satelllites" message usually stays on the whole time and after ten minutes or so I just switch off and forget it.

The missing maps problem seems to have something to do with the power cord. When I switch the unit ON it displays the "Where to" screen, not the "I agree" warning screen? If I remove the unit from the power cord and re-start it; if often displays the maps O.K.? But then it gives me the "acquiring satellites" error message!

Anybody advise me what is going on here? And what I can do to fix these irritating problems?

I'm suspecting you have a defective unit. Have you talked to Garmin?
